The Advanced Automotive Services Technician Certificate builds on the foundational skills gained in the Automotive Services Technician (CTASVT) program, allowing students to refine and tailor their expertise to align with their specific career goals in the automotive field. Completion of the CTASVT certificate is required for entry into this advanced certificate. This program offers specialized training in critical areas such as Engine Diagnosis and Repair, Heating and Air Conditioning Systems, Engine Drivability, and Advanced Transmissions. Additionally, students will broaden their skill set through courses in Applied Auto Body Welding and Alternative Vehicle Fundamentals and Safety.
The CTASVT and the Advanced Automotive Services Technician (CVASV2) certificates are both embedded within the Transportation Technologies (APOETT - Auto Services Concentration), enabling students to achieve valuable credentials as they work toward their degree.
